Peacock’s NFL deal sparks backlash from sports bars and customers

Do you like watching sports on TV? I do, especially in cricket and football. But sometimes, I can't watch them at home because my parents are busy or they want to watch something else. That's why I like going to the sports bar with my dad. He lets me have a soda and some fries, and we watch the games together on the big screens.

But lately, things have changed. Some of the games are not on TV anymore. They are on a streaming service called Peacock. Peacock is owned by NBC, and they have the rights to show some of the Premier League matches, the Olympics, and other sports events. To watch them, you have to pay a monthly fee and use an internet connection.

This is bad news for the sports bar. They have to pay more money to get Peacock, and they have to deal with internet problems. Sometimes, the stream is slow or it stops working. The customers get angry and leave. The owner of the sports bar, Mr. Khan, told me that he is losing money and he might have to close down.

I don't want that to happen. I like the sports bar. It's a fun place to hang out and watch sports. I wish Peacock would stop being greedy and let the sports bar show the games for free. Or maybe they could make a deal with the cable company, so the sports bar doesn't have to pay extra. I hope they figure it out soon because I don't want to miss any more games.
